The latest numbers from the office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada shows a 9,9 percent increase in the total number of insolvencies in Canada in February 2017 compared to the previous month. Bankruptcies increased 7.2 percent and proposals increased by 12.4 percent.
Compared to a year earlier, insolvencies are down 7.6 percent.
Other stats: For the 12 month period ending February 28, 2017, the total number of insolvencies increased by 1.9 percent compared with the 12-month period ending February 28, 2016.
