Delinquency rates higher in oil producing provinces: Equifax

admin · March 10, 2016 ·

A new report by Equifax Canada shows that 90+ days delinquency rates are higher in Alberta and Saskatchewan than the rest of Canada.  The report also notes that in the East of Canada, “province[s] impacted by the low oil prices, Newfoundland and Labrador, drove the increases in delinquency rate”.

However, nationally, the rate is unchanged from a year ago, at of 1.09%.
